No diagnosis or self-diagnosis
ADHD, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, substance-related conditions, medical conditions, and other concerns may overlap. A guide or worksheet cannot determine the cause of an individual's experience.
Use the materials to organize observations and questions. Seek an appropriately qualified professional when assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication, or individualized clinical guidance is needed.
Medications and health decisions
Do not start, stop, or change medication, treatment, or professional care based on ADHDguide.ca content. Discuss health and medication decisions with a qualified prescriber or other appropriate professional.
Emotional discomfort
Reflection on stress, trauma, relationships, or difficult experiences may bring up discomfort. You may pause, skip a question, choose a neutral example, or seek qualified support.
Emergency and crisis boundary
ADHDguide.ca does not monitor messages continuously and cannot provide emergency or crisis intervention. If you may harm yourself or someone else, cannot stay safe, feel disconnected from reality, or have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service or crisis service now.
Fictional examples
Jordan, Maya, and other named examples are fictional composites. They are not real clients, testimonials, diagnostic profiles, or claims about typical results.
No guaranteed result
Individual experiences vary. ADHDguide.ca does not guarantee diagnosis, symptom improvement, clinical outcomes, task completion, productivity, relationship changes, or another specific result.
